In 2014, the Maccabi VAC and the Balint Jewish Community house hosted their first co-organized program series. The series is made up of 6 talks, all leading up to the start of the European Maccabi games in Berlin. It is also an opportunity to learn about promising new Hungarian Jewish athletes, who are or have been in the past, the best athletes in the world.
The series is a part of the build-up to the games in Berlin. We feel it’s important to organise cultural programs which relate to Jewish athletics and the Maccabi VAC outside the playing field.
The first talk was hosted by Agnes Kelet, five time Olympic champion in gymnastics; the second by Judit Polgar, all-time female chess champion.
