In collaboration with the Lauder School’s students and teachers, Adam Jusztin, president of the Maccabi VAC, lit a candle for the remembrance of Yom Hazikaron.

The event was a perfect example of a wonderful traditional remembrance.

All who attended the Lauder school, children, teachers and friends alike held in high esteem the state of Israel, Hungarian Jewish education, and the school itself. We strive to annually renew this short but significant ceremony, which was also attended by Ilan Mor, the Israeli Ambassador to Hungary.

The new star was completed by the Maccabi VAC on Yom Haatzmaut. The theme was athletics, Israel, and the Maccabiah. The program was attended by the children from the Scheiber school as well as the Benjamin Pre-K. The children were creative and clever, and came up with as well as made reality many wonderful ideas with their teachers.

The star can be visited at the Israeli Cultural Institute.
