This April, the San Diego Maccabi team visited Hungary! The team visited Budapest’s beautiful sights, inculding the famous Jewish quarters, the Vac Jewish communities, Szentendre, and the Szanto house.

They learned about Hungary’s and the Maccabi VAC’s past, present and future. More specifically, they learned about Alfred Hajos, the first Hungarian Olympic Champion at the Israeli Cultural Institute. They also visited the Maccabi VAC’s new offices!

We surprised the team with Maccabi VAC t-shirts! They were received with friendship and support. We were so happy the team could come visit us, and that Carlos Tapiero joined us as well as the Maccabi World Union representative!
