In the past days the European Maccabi Games finally completed the entry form and closed the registration. Welcome you as member of the hungarian delegation. We are glad that we can be the leaders of the delegation and it is a special pleasure to travel to the games with such a numerous delegation.
The aim of the European Maccabi Games is not only to give an opportunity in competing for Maccabi club athletes from different countries, but also those people , us acquaint with each other , the international Jewish community and Israel.
In this event which is the greatest Jewish community event in Europe and the largest Jewish sporting event we will represent Hungary and the Hungarian Jewish Community.
We highly think this is a great honor for all of us as well as a great responsibility that more than 2000 athletes and its audience will fairly judge our country and the Hungarian Jewish Community.
It will be the first time that most of you in our lives participates in such an event. This event in itself is a unique experience, even more unforgettable that it is happening during the European Maccabi Games.
The Maccabi World Union and the Maccabi Confederation European competitions are always closer to a phrase that is attributed to the famous Baron Coubertin: “It is not a victory, but participation is important.” However, we are privileged to say we can be proud of those of our team who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in sports activities so far.
Nearly 60 people of the delegation will come to Berlin such as the Hungarian delegation three team sports, Men’s Water Polo, Men’s Futsal, Futsal Junior Men’s and many individual sports.
